Starting to Sit Up

So many monumental things are happening as Connor approaches that 6 month mark and everything he does makes us very proud parents.  This morning he got a visit from his Aunt Shelby and Uncle Josh and he decided to sit on the couch with us as we chatted like he was a grown up.  He just sat there contently eating his fishy and he was happy as could be.  It was pretty cute!  We are hoping soon that he will be able to sit on his own without any support.  That is the next step before he starts taking off!

Food Time!!!

So our big man has reached the point where he is ready for some baby food.  The first try was interesting in that the wide open mouth we usually get for his cereal became very tight lipped.  Maybe carrots weren't the first way to go.  But the next day was sweet potatoes, and this was a different story.  These pictures are from his sweet potato day...he wasn't sure at first, but quickly realized they were quite yummy.  Now over the past week or so he has become a pro, and just tonight he gobbled all his carrots.  So I think that first time was just him getting used to the new taste.  Now he is loving his big boy food and we can't believe what a big boy he is getting to be!

So many new adventures!

Cameron and I have had so much fun lately watching Connor learn all these fun new things to do.  It really is crazy how life changes and we get so exicted for him over the smallest of things...which are really so huge!  Everyday he turns more and more into a little boy vs. our little baby.  We love watching him grow everyday!  It all started with sitting up, rolling over, and now he is loving his new jumper toy.  Check out all the fun he is having!

My First Mother's Day

Last Sunday was my first mother's day and it was an amazing day!!!  Cameron and Connor were so good to me and I just feel so blessed to be a mother.  I really never could have dreamed what an amazing experience it is to walk into his room every morning and see that smiling face looking right back at me!  There are no words to explain it, he is the best gift I have ever been given!  For mother's day, Cameron actually had the day off and I took the morning off, so we traveled down to Greenville with Cindy to meet Kristen, Matt, and his mom, Sally.  It was such a pretty day and we had a wonderful brunch outside!  Then that night, we got to conclude our mother's day celebrations with dinner with my mom and dad.  Overall, I could not have asked for a more perfect mother's day!  Thanks to both my boys for making it such a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday Carson

This past week was Carson's fifth birthday so we got together over the weekend to celebrate her special day!  The kids were great and Connor always loves watching his cousins run around him.  I can just tell he is thinking in his mind that he can't wait to be able to run around with them.  He might just start walking soon so he doesn't feel like he is missing out on the fun!  And Miss Carson was a great little birthday princess and loved all of her girly gifts Connor got for her.  He got here a "Caboodle" full of fun and as you can see, we think she loved it!
