Merry Christmas!

I cannot believe how fast time goes, Christmas has come and gone now and it went by in the blink of an eye.  But it was sooo much fun!!  Having a child at Christmas time is not only fun with toys and gifts, but it reminds us of how truly blessed we are by the gift of Connor.  He is our little angel, and he could not be more of a blessing!  Cameron and I said yesterday that we did not need a single gift for the rest of our lives as long as we always had this little guy!  Thank you God for the miracles you provide!  And thank you Connor for not caring this year what you got for Christmas=)  We had to take advantage of the fact that at 1, he really doesn't understand the whole presents thing, so we really didn't get too much this year.  And after all, we still have some unopened birthday presents.  So we just got him a new little train set as he loves his "chu chu" and he could not have been happier.  His Atlanta cousins also got him a Sesame Street House with Elmo and Cookie Monster, so he is pretty in love with that as well!  Overall, it was a fantastic day spent with family.  Thank you Aunt Karen and Uncle Jason for having us at your home and for providing a wonderful Christmas dinner!  Merry Christmas to all...we hope you had as wonderful of a holiday as we did!
We made it through Church on Christmas Eve, then Grandma and Papaw hosted us for some yummy treats!  This was as close as we could get to a picture of Connor, Carson, and Logan.
"Ho Ho" (as Connor calls Santa) really did come to see us!
My two favorite boys in the whole wide world!!!
Wow Dad, who's that big red dog?
Momma, is that really just a sweater...boring!?!?!?
 Now that's more like it!!!
Another messy house after another round of gifts!
Carson and Logan being silly little elves!
Connor says I am outta here, I am taking the stairs.

Connor's First Birthday

Well we celebrated Connor's big day last Friday and it was perfect!  We cannot believe we have a one year old!  It has just been the best year we could have asked for and we topped it off with a great little party.  We just had the family and a few friends over for a little celebration!  Connor was great considering his first birthday also came with some serious teething.  He is getting like 6 teeth all at the same time!  Poor guy!  Cameron and I both took the day off so we could be a family all day and it was sooo fun.  We went to the mall and got Connor a new special outfit and had a great lunch.  Then it was nap time so he was ready for the party that night.  Then that night was full of great gifts and yummy cake.  Thank you to all who came to support our little man!  Here are a few photos from the night!
Thanks for my big boy truck Nana!
Yummmmm....I think he still has green icing under his nails!
Thank you Grandma and Papaw for my rocking Elmo!
 Playing with my friend Samantha!
All of the great gifts, thank you everyone!  Cameron and I cannot believe this was not Christmas, we get to do this all over again!

It's been way tooo long....

To all my loyal followers (Jessica and Shannon), I am soooo sorry that it has been so long.  I feel like a terrible mother as our little boy is about to be 1 year old and I have not done a very good job blogging about this first year.  But let me tell you, it has been the most amazing year!  I never knew that I could have sooo much love for one little person (okay as much love as I have for my husband), yet it's different.  Connor is such an amazing little boy and we are just having so much fun.  We definitley lead busy lives, but every second that we get to spend with Connor is just perfect.  He has been such a trooper as both of our jobs have been crazy, but we are blessed to have amazing grandparents and aunts and uncles who taken such good care of our little man.  Now, it hasn't been a full year yet, Connor will be 11 months tomorrow, so I have some cathcing up to do with you all.  So let's see where we left off....it was a very sad summer day....

Our best friends Jessica and Eric surprised us almost 3 years ago with the news that they were moving to Charlotte.  There was only one bad part though...it wasn't permanent.  So for over 2 years, we made the best friends we could have asked for and had soooo much fun.  But the day came that they did leave us, and life hasn't been the same since.  But we know that Ohio is their home and that is where they just welcomed their sweet baby girl Ali, so we could not be happier for them.   We miss all three of you greatly though and can't wait to get up to Ohio and meet sweet Ali Boo!  Miss you!!
One last trip to the Penguin with the Hoffs!
Cheers to great friends!  Sorry pregnant Jessica!
Oh Catan...how we will miss you!
