4 Days from today I turn 32. Dec. 14th. Well, as Jill has told you, our first child is due on Dec. 20th...six days after my birthday. When the doctor told us that my first thought was "It would be awesome if my first child was born on my birthday". What a cool thing to share with your child. So that is what I have been pulling for. I know they say a lot of first time moms deliver late, but it is getting close to Christmas and I think I have been pretty good this year. I should get what I want right? I mean, is 6 days early REALLY that much to ask for? Well yesterday I got my answer. It ends up that six days is not enough to ask for. On Dec. 9th, 2010 Jill and I were blessed with a little baby boy to help celebrate my birthday with, our Christmas with, and our lives with. Connor Wesley Gadd was born at 8:00pm yesterday. He weighed 8 lbs., 3 oz. and measured 20 inches. He is the most amazing, beautiful person I have ever seen and Jill and I can not wait to celebrate ever day with him.
We have spent the past 40 hours at Presbyterian Hospital (checked in @ 8:45am on the 9th), and as long as everything checks out well we are finally getting discharged tomorrow around 11:00ish.. So, in the AM we will pack up the car, place little Connor safely in the car seat and head on down the road to our house.
Let the fun begin!!!!
Thanks for blessing a us with a beautiful grandchild. Connor is so blessed to be born to 2 people that will love, nourish, and take care of you for the rest of your life. God Bless, we love you all.
